Over half a century ago Fold House began work on a Holiday Home retreat within the boundary of it's working farmland, and today a warm welcome awaits you at what is widely acknowledged as one of the finest Holiday Home and Lodge Parks in the UK.
Peace and quiet are close to the heart of the parks' philosophy, alongside the level of respect and consideration given to local wildlife (earning the park several Conservation Awards) and the ongoing commitment to the less able amongst us.
Fold House resides across open fields and is surrounded by almost seventy acres of working farm land. Although many of the outlying areas of the park are left in a natural state, a dedicated conservation area has been established, and a continual tree and plant replacement regime help maintain the balance of nature. |
Fold House is a beautiful retreat and you’ll see the difference the moment you arrive. A lovingly restored steam locomotive called "The Pilling Pig" greets you at the main entrance. Many people in the local villages and from another generation find this truly stunning display reminiscent of the days when the Garstang and Knott-End railway still ran across the same land. The engine is magically floodlit at night and for those hooked by the steam bug you are welcome to come and see the engine yourself.
With over 65 awards behind the name, Fold House is chosen again and again as the 'Best Park in the North West'.
What else makes the park so special? Some people would say it's the night sky, so crisp and clear, others might say it's the strict attention to detail.
But that is not all that's special about Fold House, read on and see for yourself... |
